Gr.1 Queen Elizabeth II Cup (1800m) winner I’m Incredible (Lope De Vega) was crowned 2019 Singapore Horse of the Year on Thursday evening.
The characteristically on-pace galloper won five consecutive races last year culminating with a trio of stakes wins – the Gr.3 Committee’s Prize (1600m), gr.3 Ultima El Dorado Classic (2000m) and the Gr.1 Queen Elizabeth II Cup.
The five-year-old gelding joins an elite list of Singapore Horse of the Year honourees including: Elite Invincible (2018), Infantry (2017), Stepitup (2016), War Affair (2015), Super Easy (2013 & 2014) and Rocket Man (2011 & 2012).
Trained by Shane Baertschiger, I’m Incredible has won six races and earned a total of S$672,984 for owner Doha Stable.
Sold on behalf of Coolmore and friends, I’m Incredible is by Lope De Vega out of Moment In Time (AUS) (Archway) who won multiple stakes races in South Australia. Moment In Time has produced two foals to race the other being Gr.3 Counties Cup (2100m) winner In A Twinkling.
Upon claiming the Queen Elizabeth II Cup I’m Incredible joined Mighty Boss and Unforgotten as Group One winning graduates of Curraghmore’s 2016 New Zealand Bloodstock Premier Yearling Sale, from which he was purchased by Aquis Farm for $260,000.
