Group One winner First Seal (Fastnet Rock), a first up fifth in the Golden Pendant (Gr 2, 1400m) as favourite at Rosehill on 24 September, is ready for her first start in Melbourne.
The John Thompson-trained five-year-old, who has battled injury problems since winning the Flight Stakes as a three-year-old, will contest Saturday's Tristarc Stakes (Gr 2, 1400m) at Caulfield.
"I think that run has tightened her up and she should go much better on Saturday," Thompson said. "She has been in Melbourne since last week and galloped at Flemington on Saturday morning and handled it well. She runs in the Tristarc and all going well heads to the Myer Classic two weeks later." - ANZ Bloodstock News
